i-Zone Lofts - 326 Carlaw Avenue and 1159/1173 Dundas Street East | |
|
Located at Carlaw and Dundas, in Leslieville, i-Zone is a low rise loft conversion housed in the former Diament Knitting Mill building. This raw loft houses 76 of Toronto's most industrial funky lofts. i-Zone's units are all legal live/work spaces, and are especially popular with artists and photographers working in the Studio District. Most units have outdoor space, or at least the option to build outdoor space above your unit. The units were originally sold as raw loft space, with many owners choosing to upgrade the kithens and bathrooms. The i-Zone Lofts offer large lofts with unique layouts and easy access to the Gardiner & DVP. Atria Developments created the i-Zone live/work lofts, located across the street from another of their developments, the Garment Factory Lofts. i-Zone was the major catalyst for change in the surrounding neighbourhood, and is now home to artists, filmmakers, photographers, and other creative spirits. |
With the presence of the amazing Wrigley Lofts, the Garment Factory Lofts, plus the construction and conversion of the Printing Factory Lofts, new life is coming to this former industrial neighbourhood with the inclusion of a parkette that backs onto Boston Avenue. This funky live/work loft conversion is considered "raw lofts". It is located in the east end Film District in one of the hottest areas in Toronto. Lofts have ceilings that range from 11 feet to an astounding 23 feet, some with mezzanines incorporating bedrooms and bathrooms. Some have concrete floors and others have hardwood or laminate floors. These are large spaces, great volumes of space that have a large open concept feel and range from 500 to over 2,000 square feet. The building is conveniently close to the Beaches, the Danforth as well as downtown, the DVP and Queen Street East. Comprised of a complex of three buildings, it has three addresses on two different streets. |
